Have a Wireless logitech mouse. Replaced battery. Green light comes on, but then goes off. What next?

From Logitech's website, "This is normal behavior of the mouse.
The green battery light of your ]logitech] mouse will come on for a few seconds to indicate the battery condition and then go out. This will occur when you power on your mouse and when you replace the batteries. The battery light goes out after a few seconds to conserve battery power."

I put in new batteries but no luck. No lights go ...

Answer:
With the buttons toward the top:
The top LEFT slider button is for power. Slide toward the outside for ON. Light on top of mouse turns green after about 1 second, and stays green for about 10 seconds (assuming the batteries are okay). When the batteries are failing, it blinks red.
The top Right PUSH button sends a connection signal to the PC. When pressed, the indicator light on the top flashes green and red, indicating the special connection signal.
This is the mouse side of the equation (good batteries, slider turned on, connection button pressed and released.).
NOW: the PC must have a working receiver, with drivers installed, and Bluetooth software installed. it sould detect the mouse. If it asks for a passkey, say none (mouse doesn't need passkey).
You should not need Microsoft Intellipoint. it doesn't have a configuration for this particular mouse model anyway.

Good Luck!

I have bought a saitek m80x wireless notebook mouse for my laptop, the man at the shop said it would work on my laptop i have plugged the usb in it said it installed the mouse is on (glowing red...

Cracked it! Instructions and website are useless!
What it does not tell you to do is:-
1. plug in wireless usb part and let windows install.
2. put batteries in mouse, it turns on automatically but turn it off by pressing the button underneath for 3 - 5 seconds.
3. Press the button on the wireless usb stick until the green light on the stick comes on. When you release the button it stays on for about 10 seconds. In the time that the green light is on turn on the mouse with a short press on the button underneath to register with the wireless usb stick.
4. Well it worked with mine after I figured it out - no thanks to the instructions. tried on vista ultra and xp home.

Optical light on Mouse not working

Hello,

maybe the battery?
follow the steps below to troubleshoot the mouse
Wireless mouse does not respond (generic instructions)

Try to Resynchronize your device with the receiver(connector)
Follow these steps.:
Note When you synchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, put the device near the receiver and put other wireless keyboards and mouse at least 6 feet away.
1. Press the button on the receiver, and then verify that the light on the receiver starts to blink.
2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in several seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, go to the next step.
2. Press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
3. Check the green light on the receiver. A steady green light means the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, try steps 1 through 3 again.
For the Wireless Notebook mouse: This issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a pin or a pen to try to release the button if it is depressed.
or
Try different port and restart your computer.
or
Reinsert the batteries or install fresh batteries
If you have the possibility check whether the problem is because of your computer or the device, try the mouse or the keyboard on a different computer.

Microsoft wireless mouse 3000; put in new battery, still nothing

nikcorra2488,

try this: plug in the USB key & check for the green light. Then go to start, control panel, & double click mouse (with whatever mouse works). Check the hardware tab and see it the computer is recognizing that the mouse is there. If it is there, it should be working fine. If not, then perhaps you need to reinstall the USB port drivers. Sometimes this will happen when you've upgraded from 1.0 to 2.0 USB ports.

Hope this helps.

Cordless Mouse Just quit working While In Use

Most cordless mouse I saw has a reset button. Press this button, make sure you're in the transmission distance from the receiver when you do this.
