1.), Pump may be bad. Check voltage to water pump in Spin Cycle. If you have voltage at the pump, but it does not run, replace the pump.

2.) If you have voltage to the water pump, and can hear or feel it running, cut power off, and remove the boot which is directly below the wash bin. The boot empties into the water pump. You will need long needle nose pliers or better, use water pump pliers to remove the straps holding the rubber piping to the pump and the boot. Remove debris from the boot, i.e., bobby pins, coins, socks, pens, keys, etc.

3.) If no voltage comes to the pump in spin cycle, you may need a new timer.

4.) Install a new belt on the motor pulley. You will regret not replacing the belt later.

What does code uL mean. this comes on in the drain spin cycle

Hi, a UL error code means a load not balanced. The washer is running a load-balance correction routine. Please allow the washer to continue. If the dial is flashing and the washer has stopped, redistribute the load, close the lid, and press START/PAUSE.

Low hot water pressure only

turn the heat down or turn to pilot mode. Turn water supply off, hook up hose to drain valve, route hose to safe place to drain, v if this is above grade the don't turn the water supply line off. Open the drain and see how well it flows. There could be calcium deposits in the unit. IF it flows well out of the drain, you could have corrosion build up inside the inlet or outlet from minerals. Remove the inlet and outlet connections. Check for debris, you may have to replace the washer on the unions. Check the anode on the unit.

Why does my washer wtw6200sw2 display an Ld code?

The Ld code is Long Drain. You might have a clogged hose. I had this problem once with mine. We had to empty the washer by hand and turn it on its front. Make sure you unplug it first! There is an elbow that I think was attached to the pump. We popped it off and it was clogged with dog fur (from washing dog bedding). Cleaned it out and put it back on and that took care of it. I found the diagram of the system online and suggest you look for it too - my memory isn't what it used to be - it'll tell you what to look for and where everything is. It could be the pump, too, but hopefully just a clogged hose.

Leaking drain valve

1) Copy following link:

2) You may find it is easier to put garden hose cap over dripping drain valve.
Screw very tight with channel locks.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer fills but will not do anything else

1. Remove the drain hose from the drain and try to drain the water from the washer. To do this plug the washer back in and attempt another drain cycle. If water does not come out of the drain hose then you now know that the plumbing is in good working order. 2. Place the drain hose back into the drain and remove the washers cabinet.
3. You will now be able to see the pump and it should have two hoses attached to it.
4. Disconnect the hose coming from the basket. If water comes out you will know that nothing is clogging the basket.
5. If both of these tests come out good you now know that the problem is the pump.
6. Make sure you write down all relevant information such as the washing machine model and serial number.
7. Head to your local hardware store and buy a pump (they typically run about $15.00).
8. Remove the old pump and install the new one (make sure the washing machine is turned off and unplugged).
9. Test it. Let it run through a cycle to make sure everything is installed and working properly.
10. If it is still broken call a repairman or ask a handy friend to check it out for you.

When the wash machine drains it backs up in the bathtub and bubbles up in toilet and sink

Washing machines drain with a tremendous amount of pressure, and a partial clog can make everything else drain good but still cause your problem. To fix get a good drain cleaner for grease and hair and put it down the closest drain to your washer. You may have to do this more than once. After the cleaner has about an hour to work, run the washer before anything else.

Water is coming out of the drain valve shroud / drain valve. How can i stop this? Please help! Many thx!

Do you drain your heater regularly?

I think the water may have eaten or partially eaten the valve stem.

If I were faced with this problem, I believe I would secure the power, take a shower (to take advantage of the hot water you paid to heat - and to get cold water into the tank) Drain the tank - remove the stem replace the washer. If it looks strange ... like the washer screw was eaten, you can replace that valve.

Good luck with your project.

(PS you should clear sediment from the tank semi-annually or more)
