Hi, You can try these steps

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

My ipod touch 4th generations says ipod disabled connect to itunes, but screen is locked

Like all electronic devices, iPods sometimes freeze and become unresponsive. Sometimes iPods lock up when they're dropped on the ground or come in contact with water, but less destructive accidents may also cause them to stop working. All versions of the iPod have a way to reset their hardware should they stop playing music or refuse to turn off.

Check the "Hold" switch on the top case of your iPod to be sure it isn't activated. An iPod will appear frozen and unresponsive if this feature is activated. A lock symbol will appear on your iPod's screen if it is in Hold mode. Switch the "Hold" button on and off once. Place one finger on the "Menu" button and another on the center button. Press both buttons at the same time and hold them for up to 8 seconds. Release the "Menu" and center buttons once the Apple logo appears on your iPod's screen. Try releasing the buttons and pressing and holding them a second time if the logo does not appear, as it can sometimes take several tries to reset a severely frozen iPod. Press and hold the top button and the center "Home" button on a frozen and unresponsive iPod touch to reset it. Hold the buttons for at least 10 seconds and wait for the Apple logo to appear on the screen, then release the buttons. Connect your iPod to its powerblock or a computer if it is still frozen. Wait 5 minutes and then try to reset it. Sometimes an iPod can appear frozen when its battery runs out and just needs a few minutes of power to start working again. Hope this helps.

A few weeks ago I tried locking my iPod during school. I put the passcode on so when i pushed the top button it would lock. It never locked so i forgot about it. Now I shut the iPod completely off and I...

Connect your ipod touch to your computer and make sure itunes is open. Hold down the power and home button for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds only release the power button and keep holding the home button until your itunes says it found an ipod in recovery mode. Then restore your ipod by clicking restore on itunes, or restore to a backup you might have made, but make sure it is before you had the passcode, otherwise it will reload the passcode lock.

Hope this helps!

I LOCKED MY IPOD TOUCH BUT I FORGOT MY PASSWORD. COULD YOU HELP ME UNLOCK IT?

If your iPod touch is password locked, the only way to get past it is to force the unit into restore mode by doing the following: 1. Plug the iPod touch in to your computer. 2. Hold the sleep/wake button and the menu button down at the same time. Keep them both pressed until you see the 'restore' screen (an iPod cable and an iTunes disc symbol) on the iPod touch. Release the buttons. 3. iTunes should now display the iPod touch, along with a message that the iPod touch is in recovery mode. Click the RESTORE button in iTunes to restore the iPod touch. Please note that doing this will erase the contents of the iPod touch -- that's how the system is designed to work: a passcode lock is meant to protect the data on the iPod.

I cant get the lock of my i pod

Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it should no longer be locked. This will only work with the computer that you first used when you first connected your iPod and ran iTunes.

If this doesn't work, you can restore your iPod to factory settings, which has no lock code. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to iPod.

If you want to to do this, connect your iPod to your computer and run iTunes. Click on your iPod on the left side of iTunes, then click on the "Restore" button on the right. After it's been restored, click on the "Sync" button to copy all your music and videos back onto your iPod.

Center button and click wheel not working on my ipod nano

Yes, well the exact thing it happening to me. What you could do and see if it works is this: Turn the Screen Lock on, off, and hold the center button and the Menu button. This will hard reset the iPod and use the origonal settings from when you first got your iPod. The second Tip: Take off all of the software, songs, games, ect. in iTunes and reset ALL the settings in iTunes. If this doesn't doesnt work (which it should), your iPod is broken and you need a new click wheel or center button.

Frozen screen

First, make sure the lock slider is in the proper position.  I know, obvious, but you'd be surprised how often this happens.
Next, slide the lock slider to locked and then back.  Then press and hold the Menu and Select (center) button for 6-8 seconds.  Try a couple times if it doesn't work the first time.  The ipod should reset and work.
If that didn't work, you can reset your ipod.  But first, try connecting the ipod to your computer and see if it goes into sync mode. If so, wait for iTunes to load and then eject your ipod in iTunes and see if it works again.
To reset your ipod, slide the lock slider to locked and then back.  Next hold the Play/Pause Button and the Menu button for 6-8 seconds.  You may have to try this a couple times.  The ipod should reset.
The last thing to do is to let your ipod discharge completely by leaving it at the frozen screen.  Once your ipod is out of battery, reconnect it to you computer or a power adapter and let it charge.  Then try to access it again or repeat the steps above.
Good luck!
