Question about Insignia NS-L32Q-10A 32 in. HD-Ready LCD TV
Ok, when you plug in the set, does the power light come on? Assuming you ordered a power supply in good working order, you may very well have a faulty main board. The power supply produces standby power that the main board uses to power the standby/power on light. Your main board also uses the standby power to provide the "ON" signal to turn on the rest of the power supply.

SOURCE: Damaged Insignia NS-L32Q-10A Screen
The damage actually occurred on the LCD (liquid crystal display) itself, not on the screen. Therefore, when the tv is switched off, no damage is visible. What happens is that when it is turned on, the liquid crystals "leak" because the display is broken. This is why you can see lines and a small dent. Depending on the tv, replacement LCD panels may be sold separately, though chances are that it would cost less to simply buy a new tv. Thanks for your post, and I wish you the best of luck! Sincerely, Der Strom
