Rinse cycle will not work because of no cold water it will spin if i move it manually there.
SOURCE: washing machine won't spin dry
If this is a top load clothes washer, almost all units will not spin if the door is open during the cycle time when it should be spinning. If the door is closed, check if the door safety interlock is broken (on most washers, you will see a pin on the door pressing into a little depression)
If these things check out, you probably have a failed transmission deep inside the clothes washer. Fixing that is non-trivial.

check plumbing in house to make sure that the hot is on the left and cold or the right

This sounds like the motor coupler has broken.

If your TOP LOADING Whirlpool washer is leaking, the following link explains how to remove the exterior washer case in order to accurately inspect the washer interior components for the source of your leak:

If the leak is more like a constant drip, a common source of leaks with Whirlpool manufactured top loaders is a leaking drain pump. These pumps are not serviceable and if damaged, must be replaced. The following link explains how:

Don't forget to check all drain hose connections under the washer and the center tub seal.
