I was in my loft and noticed that the ducting pipe that removed steam from my bathroom was full of water. I emptied this and reconnected the ducting but now i can't switch the fan off. i did notice that when i removed the water from the ducting, the fan came on - seemingly of its own accord.
when i use the pull cord the light still works fine, but the fan won't switch on or off. i have looked for a switch in the loft around the ducting and transformer but i can't see one.
any thoughts you have would be most welcome, with thanks, lisa

yes, if the three switches are all made together, then there is only one feed. sounds like a bad switch, or possibly bad exhaust fan. check voltage at fan with switch on, if not qualified, be careful, or call an electrician

condensation is created by 2 exteme temperature change.
looks like the loft space is colder than the rest of the house.
first make sure there is not blockage in the vent. then warp the vent with fiberglass as much as you can. it doesn't matter what R value the fiberglass is. just enough to cut the temperture change.
you still going to need a exhust fan in the bathroom.

I would like to help you with this, But with out looking at the light/fan I can't. So what you can do is find the make and model of the Light/ Fan go to there website and email there tech support. # 2 go to Home Depot and ask someone that works in the fan area to help you out.# 3 If you like email me a picture of the fan/ light in four different places, and I'll be able to help you out.
