does your muvo s200 able to turn on?
if not the circuitry in your muvo s200 is deeply damage

your computers hanging because of the possibility that the circuitry of your muvo s200 is short circuit which may damage your computer also specially the usb ports...

or try to plug it in other computer if it works

Download a program called "media monkey" it will sync with your mp3 player automatically and does lots of other cool stuff too, and it's free.
Just google it and download.

I think there is a bug in the newest formatting software for Muvo TX. I tried the firmware MuVoV200_PCFW_LF_1_12_03.exe, which is for another model (Muvo 200) and it seems to work on my Muvo TX

when i connect it to computer ; computer detect it as STMP3500 ; i download STMP3500 Driver from internet and then install it to Computer but already Computer Don't detect my mp3player;
then i run MuVoS200_PCFW_A5_1_02_02.exe but at this time computer detect my mp3player as MuVo S200 Then i upgread my Firm ware.
Now it work very good.

try loading files on different bit rates and see what bitrate your player can play. some player wont play files that are directly copied to the player, it needs a certain software to encode it to its standard format. sony walkman is an example, it has its own software to encode files from mp3 to its own supported format.

man i think i have the same problem with my device also you better go to nearby vendor or register online and ask for the warranty support from the manufacturer the i\o error signifies the device has become corrupt
