Hi Louise_calle,
If you want to delete any files or all the files just connect the mp3 player to your pc and let the OS install the drivers. After it is done you will see a flash drive in my computer for the mp3 player.Just double click on it and you will see all the files..Now you can delete the files that you want to ...............

Thanks

Deleting music sony nwz-s616f mp3 player

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. When the player is connected to your computer you can add and delete the music files. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. How do i clear music to add new music

Connect the MP3 player to your computer using the USB cable.
The computer will see this as an external drive or removable disk.
Click on this MP3 device and open the folder where the MP3 music files are located, then click to highlight the music files you want to delete and then press the DEL (delete) key to remove them from the MP3 player. This is the same procedure in deleting files from your computer's hard disk.

To add new music files to your MP3 player, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

I cant add music to my mp3 player

Hi there

Pls check to see if the memory of the mp3 player is not full if so you will not be able to add music to your player, try freeing up space on your player by deleting unwanted songs from your player so as to be able to add more music

Also check to see if the usb cable you are using is not defective by testing it on another system to see if it works

Also make sure your system recognizes the mp3 player if it doesnt you wont be able to add music to the player.

Deleting songs.

Your DB might be corrupt. Folow the delete procedure one more time:
Delete Music Files
1) Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
connection.
3) Select the place where you want to delete music files from
4) Highlight and delete the music file/s or folder from My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\MUSIC
folder. (You can also select from a variety of music
software programs to transfer/synchronize your files).

If that fails, go ahead and update the firmware - it will delete everything, and allow you to start over from scratch among other things.

Will not hold the music I download

My problem was that I was deleting the existing library list in my computer when I attempted to add more songs to the MP3 player. I thought since I had already downloaded them to the MP3 player, that I could get rid of them from my PC's Media Player's library. The new songs I tried to add, would override the old songs stored in the MP3 player. Apparently you have to continue to store all the songs in your PC's library, and then when you add more songs you can transfer only the new ones to your MP3 player. A guy at my work told me this.

Deleting music files

you should be able to explore your mp3 player in my computer, and explore each folder but when the windows are open click at the top files, options, view and select show hidden files as the mp3 songs already on the player may be hidden.
