Here are the minimum details needed to answer this kind of question:
1. Operating System : Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista? 2. Printer make/model: (this is important to determine the wireless properties of printer) 3. Network Connection: (is the laptop connected to the same network as the printer)
If you are working with a new printer (see item 2) and you have a network on which you have your notebook connected, there are so many possible ways to connect the printer to the network that it's hard to say.
If you are working with an established printer that has wireless services running, you may need to know either the Network Name of the printer or the IP Address of the printer.
Your best bet is to make use of hp's extensive Wireless Printing Center (see link below).
Hi, you can do a quick troubleshooting on the laptop. 1. used another network cable and check that no pins are broken on the laptop. 2. go to device manager and remove the network adapter and reinstall it.
if this don't work. if you have a wireless router, you can connect to the internet over the wireless network adapter on the laptop.
this works in the case of windows. first u hav to configure ur modem. then configure ur pc with proper ssid and encryption method. u will hav ur pc configured
For an effective wireless connection, the printer should be connected to one of the LAN ports of a configured wireless router. This way, every pc(mostly laptops with wireless capability) can print to the printer. You will need a wireless adapter for desktop pcs to access any resource made available wirelessly ok. Good luck
have you setup the wireless connection in between the printer and the laptop... your laptop is working wirelessly with the internet but for making the printer to use it wirelessly the printer should be also a wireless printer.
and if the printer is a wireless printer then you have to setup the connection in between the printer & laptop to work wirelessly.
Some older mobile phones don't recognise some of the newer security settings (WPA2, for example).
It might be worth trying a different type of encryption (WPA/PSK or WEP) to see if these work better - obviously this would mean having to reconfigure the wireless connections on the computer and laptop.
Hope this helps.
Scan over wireless network is not supported with this printer. You can try set it up and get scanner to work with usb and then change port from usb to HP standard TCP/IP for the device, but I don't think it will work.
its windows xp sp2
