Question about Audiovox D1708 Portable DVD Player
Hope this is an easy solution...my dvd player works when plugged into the wall, with the battery, in the car when the battery is just on, BUT when the engine is running the screen goes black - this doesn't happen any other time, but in the car. The audio still works, but the screen goes black - if I close the lid and open it again it will come on for a second and then go off....Am I doing something wrong? Everything is plugged into the right place. Thanks for any help.
I have noticed with other devices in the car plugged up to a cigarette lighter, it will work while the car is running and once it is turned off, but once the car is started again, I lose power. Evidentally this is an issue with car electrical systems either resetting or surging so it isn't anything wrong with your dvd player. It would be best if you could unplug the player and let it run on battery just before the car is started and then plug it back it once the car is running. I hope this helps.
