My Razr V3 got wet...

I had random problems with my razr even befor it got dropped in the pool- it would ring but the screen would be normal, it was as if it was just ringing for the heck of it, but then 5 min later it would say one missed call. Or i would turn it on and go to my contacts and all my contacts would be the same person listed over and over, same with call history. then it was dropped in the pool- i fished it out not 2 seconds later- but it was enough that when i tried to turn it back on all that would happen is the backlight on the keypad would light up. no noise, nothing and the dot- which if i recall corectly was red when i bought it- is now very red and the dye comes off on your fingers. it is drying out now but it has been about 5 hours, and i took the battery out- what else can i do? i didnt insure it!

i didnt even know my phone got wet i sat it on a little table next to the toilet and the shower. water got on the table and leaked under the phone. when i was out of the shower it was working then all of a sudden it died. i tried to turn it back on and it would go then shut off again. then after like twice it wouldnt turn back on and the keypad was plashing on and off in a real weird way. i toke the battery out for a minute or so trying to fling and **** out the moisture. i stuck it on the charger over night hoping it would get enough juice but this morning it still didnt work. i stuck it on the top heat vent in my truck for about 15 minutes but still no go. the battery is not in it at this time WHAT ELSE CAN I DO???

I read that you can put it in a clear plastic bag with some silica packets to help dry it out!

Lost unlock code

Depending on how many modifications, hacks, or customizations that you perform on your Motorola RAZR V3 phone, there may be situations where the phone becomes unusable or completely locks up. I have had visitors to the site report not being able to delete ring tones, text messages, or have other strange behaviors with their Motorola RAZR V3 phone.

If this is you situation, then you may be interested in performing a master reset (or “hard reset”) on your phone. The master reset will effectively restore your phone back to the factory condition, inclusive of all settings. Be warned, any data that you have not backed up, photos you have not transferred, calendar settings, or messages you have not saved will be lost! Make sure you do this first, if possible!

Here is how you perform a Master Reset on the Motorola RAZR V3:
1. Open your phone up and go to “Settings”
2. Next go to the selection for “Initial Setup”
3. Next go to the selection for “Master Clear”
4. Then select to confirm the option.
5. Now enter the security code which should be “000000”
6. Finally press select or ok and the phone will reset itself to the factory condition

Congratulation you have performed a “hard reset”, “hard reboot”, or “master reset” on your Motorola V3 RAZR and it should return to normal operating mode!

My Razr V3 got wet...

When these phones get wet, there is perminent damage. The fix is to swap out the circuit boards that become damaged. It is cheaper to buy a new phone rather than fix it.

V3 RAZR constantly pressing right?

As you describe it, your problem is the keypad. Maybe dirty or wet inside though that part is a totally replaceable pad with a connector only so you must buy a replacement and replace the broken one.

About how to do that: being the razr a common phone is pretty sure you'll find guides, photos and maybe videos around the web, googling, guiding you on how to do it. Maybe the shop where you buy the replacement can have a forum or guides.
The other option is to pay a technician to do it.

Good Luck...

Phone won't turn on/charge

Kikimenor: Advise. If this is your 3rd RAZR V3, you must encourage Cingular (Now is the new AT&T) to replace your whole unit with another model. A friend of mine exchange his phone 4 times, until Cingular replace it. Motorola had too many problems with RAZR phones and that's why they launch quickly the SLVR L7. They still producing the RAZR, because users love the style and shape of the phone, but reality is that Motorola had several heavy issues with RAZR (Bluetooth, batt, microphone, etc.) If you're paying for an insurance on your unit, encourage them to replace it.
