The display screen on the outside of my phone is fine. but the charging light on my Motorola V195 is always on, even when it's unplugged. Worst of all, when i open my phone, all I see is a black screen, even though it's on and i can call people. The only thing that happened to my phone before I realized this anomaly was that the battery died. No water damage. Please help.
Sounds like a flex cable problem. The flex cable connects the upper half of the phone to the lower half. If the phone still has Motorola Warranty - send it to Motorola, otherwise look for a reputable repair shop. It might be expensive if they have to replace.

For good place to get the unlock code for Motorola phone model, visit this site www.onlinegsmunlock.com/motorola-v195/rs7wp9, it provides step by step instructions and easy ways to unlock the phone lock network ..... while for the unlock code you have to give some information about the mobile site that is your IMEI number, network and country lock, then in a short period you can get the code ... ......... If you unlock your phone using unlock code and then becomes permanently unlocked phone .... After that, you can use with any other network card ...... .
I had the same problem. I sent it back to Motorola for warranty. They fixed it and said it was a connection issue. The connection between the screen and the keys came unplugged. This is a regular problem they have with this phone. The phone is poor quality!!!!
Does anything show on the external display if you go to take a picture, but before you acually take it, close the phone and look on the external display as if you were taking a self-portrait?
To make fully sure, while the phone is closed, press a volume button - does anything show on the display? If so, the external display functions and it would be a setting that may have been overlooked.
Go to Menu > Settings > Initial Setup > Display Timeout
Menu > Settings > Personalise > Home Screen
