Error message and not cooling Kenmore Bottom Freezer

My Kenmore Refrigerator has started making a loud noice and all of a sudden we got the error message "FF". Soon after, it stopped cooling altogether. The warranty ran out 2 weeks ago and I am frustated and stuick with a $1500 broken machine. Any ideas on how to fix?

Our fridge is 14 months old. Was working fine then heard a louder hum than usual. came down this morning to Er FF on the screen. since then the fridge is warming. Sears can't come till next week and of course we are out of warranty. since reading all these complaints is there any recourse against Sears that we can take as a group. TOO MANY WITH SAME PROBLEM. My fridge was $2000 and I do not have the money for a costly repair.

First if you have not already complety defrost freezer, if this does not resolve check the defrost heaters are ok if not replace, if they are then the fault is the defrost sensor. Regars Advisor

Our kenmore elite bottom freezer is making a loud humming noise. It shuts off when door is open..and continues when door is shut. Temperatures are fine, no error message, it rarely stops..like it is trying...

Turned off the fridge, emptied the Freezer, used a blow dryer for 20-30 minutes, to melt ice that had built up in vents at rear of freezer.

Cleaned the freezer and reloaded...no hum..at least for now.

Error message ER FF - refrigerator is not cooling as a result

I would replace the evaporator fan, this fan problem is hard to diagnose because the fan will spin but not fast enough to circulate the chilled air thru the freezer and the refrigerator. The minimum cost to repair/replace is around $300.00

Help....kenmore trio refrigerator, error message "er co"

The Er Co error code signifies a communication error between the display control board on the freezer door and the main power board on the outer back panel of the refrigerator.

Check the wiring and connections between the low voltage interface and the main high voltage board.

If you are able to unplug the refrigerator and remove the cover over the control board on the back of the refrigerator,
you can check the wiring connection on the main control board.

If this wiring connection is okay, check the wire harness connection under the hinge cover on the top of the left hand refrigerator door.
If these connections are okay, then you will need access the wire harness connection in the dispenser.

Freezer working fine but refrigerator not cooling

Do you have the ER DH error message showing? If so, it is a failed senser, an $11.99 part that many of us are having trouble with.

Error message er if

Hi. Error FF is your Fresh Food Fan. Otherwords, the evaporator fan motor has failed. You should replace the motor and motherboard. You may get by just replacing the motor. Sears doesn't manufacture the refrigerator. They just pay extra to have Kenmore put on it. Its the manufacturer that needs to back their equipment. If you bought it from Lowes, you can't hold Lowes responsible for the ongoing issue. They sell the same refrigerator. Anytime this model refrigerator displays an Error code, unplug it for 5 miniutes and replug it. Sometimes it was a computer misfuction. Good luck! Mack
