Quite simple follow these steps: 1. connect the mp3 to your PC 2. Click on "My computer" 3. Right click on the sansa icon 4. Choose Format. That should do it. Let me know if there's anything else and don't forget to rate this solution. Best, D.

I Have a Memorex MVD 2047 DVD Player thats supposed to read DVD RW disks but it doesnt read them help?

Like you said the unit is capable of playing DVD RW and DVD-RW. However, some discs may not be compatible due to format of the files on the discs, software used and laser pickup. Some technologies used to record on discs can prevent optimal playback of the files by changing them which affects the ability of the player to read the file.

If you are burning the discs, I would suggest you different software, make sure the video/audio files are being converted to a DVD format that can be played on stand alone players.

Windows Driver for MP3 missing

FORMAT:Formatting
When using your MP3 player for the first time you should format it. Formatting prepares the disk (storage medium) for any reading or writing. It erases all information on the disk, and tests for any bad sectors or errors. Below are the steps for formatting your player: -Connect the disk storage (MP3 player) to your computers USB port. If the computer pops up a window asking what do you want windows to do? Click cancel. -Right click on My Computer and click on Explore. Look for the drive Removable Disk (E:) [The letter drive may vary depending on your computer] This is your MP3 player. -Right click on the drive Removable Disk (E:) and click Format¡K A small window will pop up displaying Format Removable Disk (E:) Click Start. Read the warning and click OK. Format is complete. This procedure can be done occasionally to erase all data on the disk storage..THEN REINSTALL AVI FILE:http://www.nextar.com/frontend/mp3_players.asp?MODEL=MA852&subpr=&categ=RICHARDM69

Playing recordable dvd

My Emerson won't play anything except DVD Movies, never has, wasn't suppose too. Make your movies in DVD Video format and it will read them fine (unless it's broke). I make movies all the time and play them back in mine. It reads DVD-R, DVD+R, and in duel layered. It will not read RW disks!

Man I've every problem you can imagine with DVD Players. I've found when the disk gets stuck, as long as it's not jammed. You can turn the unit off or unplug it. Plug it back in but DON'T TURN IT ON! Instead hit the eject button and the drive should open the drive without trying to read the disk.

Installation disk came in the package broken - what to do??

The disc is read only it does nothing but give directions. Go to windows music player on your computer and sync your cds to E which will be your shaker.
It can only be mp3 format. ONLY MP3. Convert all your music to this format only using this website:
http://www.wma-mp3.org/
be patient the site is very busy
Even if your file has been renamed to a mp3 file it will not work until you convert the files.
I have 2 of these and had to do this with all my music. Then after conversion click and drag the songs.
