Hi, your monitor is working just fine, that is the test mode, showing you the three colors. This is the colors needed for the monitor to show all the other colors, with this the monitors have a problem..

some computers will fade the screen automatically when on battery power. on windows systems, you can change those settings (normally) by going to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Edit Plan Settings (beside the option in use) -> change advanced power settings -> Display (see screen shot)
I think your Display monitor cable damage, or may be your motherboard display cheap damage, or your display driver problem create.
First of all you check your display driver or reinstall driver. Sec think used external VGA card or check it. If not solved then your monitor display section damage. So contact good monitor technician.
Try starting the PC in safe mode (press F8 as it starts) and then restore your PC to a date before you installed the updates.If that fails you must use your windows 7 disk to repair the system or just install it again.....
only sounds as if he has damaged the pixels so much they don't display the colour properly any more, if it is still under warranty get it replaced by Acer, if not take it to an electronics store like pc world and they might be able to fix it for a price.
