Red Light comes on and goes off/Relay clicks

My tv went off yesterday on it's own. I have unplugged it for a few minutes and plugged it back in. When I try to power it up the redlight on the front will come on briefly and then go off. I can hear the relay in the back click. Any suggestions.

I bought a mitsubishi wd 52327 new several years ago. I've replaced the lamp once and it worked fine but now it needs to be replaced again. We bought a lamp off EBay w/housing. I installed it but the tv...

Hi Brent, Mitsubishi's have a problem with the power supply and the Light Engine which incorporates the Digital Module of which it has to be purchased as a complete assembly. I sincerely believe you should not put that kind of money into a dlp set. The cost of the light engine is in the area of $1100.00. Your last idea is the best one.

50 inch Plasma problem

Most likely a capacitor in the power supply went out. otherwise it may be a bad relay if there happens to be one.
Most reason for a tv not turning on at all is bad power supply

Sony Plasma TV

I had this same exact issue yesterday. I own the same TV model and here is what SONY had me do to get the picture back. Ultimately the picture comes back, but it will be very dim and needs repair. Most likely a power supply issue. Try these steps:

-Press power off or leave with standby light on for 5 minutes (wait the full 5 minutes)
-Unplug TV / Press top buttons 5 times each to remove static from system boards (yes, each button 5 times each)
-Wait one full minute and plug TV in and press power on

Power light flashing/ no picture

I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
