IE 7 can i use IE 7 with my Windows XP Media Center.. Will it screw up my HP Pavilion dv 5000?

As far as I know, the original zd8000 operating system is Windows XP. If you have Windows 7 installed, then you need to get Windows 7 disc and its product key. If you need the Windows XP reinstallation media, then you can use HP Windows XP reinstallation disc only (for example: HP Windows XP Professional with SP2 disc).

The USB port on the 5000 is most likely a 2.0 and on the othes it is most likely 1.0

Sir, i have HP Pavilion dv 1000 (XP operating system). Recently, i upgrade it by Window 7 but Now audio driver is not working properly now. pl suggest to solve it.----- pratik

There is most likely an incompatibility issue with windows 7. Have you tried reloading your XP webcam driver?
H.P. currently has no drivers available for your Pavilion for windows 7. Keep referring back to www.hp.com to check as they are working on developing drivers for models which meet the minimum hardware requirements.

There are no Vista or Windows 7 drivers available for this PC. All the available drivers for all versions of the Presario 5000 family are available here http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=96382.

As you'll see the available software for these goes from XP back to Windows95.You might find that some of the XP drivers will work with Vista.

Boot into safe mode to reset the display settings.

Sorry Window Xp can not be retrieve back by restoring. You need to Reinstall it. Please use your Window XP Installation Disk for this.

i would suggest that you either roll back your driver for the graphics card or do a system restore to a date previous to when the drivers were updated, this wil show in the system restore dates boxes. You are probably running the generic windows driver for your graphics, it's better to see what updates you are installing before updating any hardware drivers.
