mine did the same exact thing after i was texting i just clicked the screen off and went to turn it back onand it wouldnt. so i took the battery out and tried a soft reset or whatever, because itll sometimes act up. but it normally works. i called sprint, and they said to go to a sprint store and see what they can do., im praying to god they dont need to do a hard reset. id lose everything on there. ill let you know if they do anything to help. and what it is that they did. im sorry your phone is as mentally challenged as mine.
Perform a hard reset, and clear the data off the treo.
Hold down backspace and the K key. While holding both of those down, hit the reset button on the back. Hold all for a few seconds. The screen will flash white and then turn off.
Then plug it into the charger cable. It'll turn back on and get you to put in all the settings again.
In a nutshell, make sure you have a recent synch to your PC of the 600.
Install the Treo 650 desktop software
Synch to the username of the 600
Your are done.
You should rename the Treo 600 or hard reset it (you will get data corruption if you synch two devices with the same username to one PC).
If you are paranoid, you can make a backup copy of your c:\program files\palm\ folder to begin with. This contains most of your settings and extra software on the 600. As you are an Outlook user, your personal data is probably in a PST file or it is stored in Exchange.
