Camera just two years old. Over the last 2 months it has been consistently freezing. I have replaced the battery, which has made no differnece to the problem. It seems as though the power button is stuck down. It can remain in a "frozen" state for up to two weeks and then work normally again for a period.
Obviously this is very annoying as you never know when it is going to happen and the lense remains out until it unlocks it self which also makes storage a pain.
Any suggestions or is it time to invest in a new camera. This would be very frustrating as I have just spent £40.00 on a new battery.
Many THanks

Dont you worry about that! Its normal specialy if you are using the higher mega pixel of your camera.
For you to minimized the processing you need to lower the mega pixel of picture size., you can adjust your picture size under Menu settings, And choose not lower or higher than 6 mega pixel to have a good quality picture printout
NO, DSC-T1 will not accept such big memory card as its hardware supports maximum 2GB card memory that is more then enough for it because its 6 mega pixel camera.
Please RESET your camera , go to Menu > Initialize > OK If problem still exist you need to replace flash unit in camera. Let me know if you need further help.
Hey rolvnetr, The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S700 Digital Camera should be powered by 2 AA batteries. There are 3 main varieties of AA batteries which are Alkaline, Lithium, and rechargeable NiMH batteries. I prefer Lithium batteries, but rechargeable batteries are also nice but once they start losing their charge it goes fast so have a backup set. You should be able to buy any of these batteries at most retailers, and of course our Best Buy™ stores carry these batteries. Sincerely, Allan Go Ahead. Use Us.
