Try to connect another monitor to verify the problem is related with your video card or the monitor itself

My monitor has been disconnected for a while during office remodel...now when i plug in it's very pink in color

Likely the cable is not connected properly, and the blue VGA signal isn't arriving. Try unplugging at both ends, and replugging it securely, screwing the connector retainers in.

Also, a redness of color may be due to the color management of the monitor, the so-called "color temperature", being changed from 9300 or 10000 K to 6500 K. Try checking the monitor color controls.

Color Problem

all of you mentioned are correct. if they cannot work on color setting of your monitor and for the setting of your resolutions it could be the monitor. the monitor cannot support the color bit mode which required for the windows vista it could be a 16bit color mode which only display for not more than 63herts for the Hi color vsynch compare for the 256color if you have a Hi color settings for about more than 63herst vsynch. it cannot display properly. thanks

Seem to have locked the monitor in burn in mode

This problem is a failure of the control circuit of the logic section of the monitor. The control circuit has latched on this function due to failure of some component or the control itself. This problem requires you to return the unit for service at the dealer or take to service center. Hope this helps.

You don't need to enter the service mode, simply turn off sRGB (from one of the other menus) and you'll be able to change the color temperature.

Samsung samtron 55v display problem

assuming that u r a professional..
i guess there is no problem with ur monitor, it sounds like itz due to graphic adapter..either the adapter on ur system main/mother board/agp/pci/pcie is damaged or itz simply 'driver corruption'..
don't panic..check for driver update/download n reinstall graphic/display driver..
however, 1st make sure that the Screen Resolution (1024x768 or as applicable) and Color Quality (32 bit or as applicable) is correct..from Display Settings->Settings tab..
always better to contact system admin/vendor....

Problem with Control Panel

It sounds like theres a front panel button that has become intermittant and making contact all by itself. Sometimes when you clean the screen, the cleaner will drip down between the crt face aqnd the cabinet and make the switch in front go bad. Im not sure if this is the case in your problem but its a start. If you didnt spill anything or drip anything into the front panel then your maicroprocessor could be causeing the problem, or the 5 volts that feed the micro could be noisy ie, bad filter capacitor in the power supply. Now as im sure your aware of the hi voltage inside these sets? Its best if you dont have the training to get a pro to assist you as this hi voltage can hang around inside the set even if its unplugged. Good Luck
