FUJIFILM XD PICTURE CARD PROBLEM

Hi all, Hope somebody can here can help me.I recently went to the maldives and proposed to my know fiancee.I took numourous pictures on the holiday and one morning tried to send a few back home.I took the memory card from my olympus x-760 digital camera and placed it in the card reader supplied by the hotel.Nothing came up on the card and when i placed it back in the camera it asked me to format the card.I don't know much about cameras but i do know if u format the card all pictures will be deleted.I just left the card in the camera till i got home hopefully to try save the photos.I arrived home today and tried the card in my own pc card reader and it asked me the same question.Card is not formatted.Would u like to format know?Is there anyway i can get these photos from this card without deleting them?I look forward to ur help. Thanks in advance. Stuart

Hi, If I understand you problem right - you want to copy the picture files stored in a memory card. However, that memory card cannot be read and worst it is not even formatted. On a similar instance, I used a file recovery program. I inserted my memory card to a card reader, inserted the USB plug and run the software. I was able to recover most (I?d say about 95%) but not all of my files, copied what was recovered to a folder in my PC?s . Still this was better than loosing all the pictures. The program was GetDataBack for FAT available at http://www.runtime.org/gdb.htm. Hope this works also for you. Good luck and kind regards from the Philippines.

Try this free recovery programme, although your card may be corrupted and non recoverable, good luck! http://www.snapfiles.com/opinions/PC_Inspector_Smart_Recovery/PC_Inspector_Smart_Recovery.html

Card not initialized?

The error can be caused by:

1. The xD-Picture Card or internal memory is not formatted.

2. The xD-Picture Card contact area is soiled.

3. a camera fault

for 1.:

Format the xD-Picture Card or internal memory on the camera (p.130)
To format the internal memory or xD card goto format in the setup menu and chose the correct memory.

for 2.:

Wipe the contact area on the xD-Picture Card with a soft, dry cloth. It may be necessary to format the xD-Picture Card

(p.130).

If the message still appears, replace the xD-Picture Card

for 3.: You won't like this one:

I have a J10 fujifilm camera and it currently has an error message: FRAME NO. FULL! I have the following picture card: Fujifilm xD xD-Picture Card M1GB Any advice would be appreciated.

Try formatting the memory card. If that doesn't work, try a different memory card. If that doesn't help, sadly, it's probably time to return the camera if it's still under warranty.

Good luck!

Is olympus xd -picture card, type m+ 2gb compatable with camera Fujifilm Finepix.

XD cards are now obsolete memory cards. The cards were developed by Olympus and Fujifilm and released during the summer of 2002. There is now an adapter that allows an SD card to be used in place of the XD card You need to remember that the capacity should not exceed 2 GB or the camera will not be able to accept it. As far as I know cameras accepting XD cards were last produced in 2007, I don't know what specific models however the camera specifications would show what type card it uses.

Pictures Readable on Camera, but NOT on computer

I found the solution to the problem. Connect the camera with the cord supplied. Do not open Finepix. Open Photoshop if you have it and go to file>import>via f31 or f30 and choose the pictures you want to import. Done !!!!!

FUJIFILM 3X OPTICAL ZOOM FinePix 4.0 mega pixels digital camera A340 its about the xd-picture card 2GB

Be sure you have formatted the card, not the internal memory (if the camera has that).
Be sure your battery is fully charged, so that the device can fuly write the file.
Be sure you are writing the file to the card, and not the internal memory, as there may not be enough space on it to write the file.
If this does not resolve the problem, let me know.

HP laser Jet 2840

Try using a different Memory card and see if it reads it, if not you might need to replace the memory card reader.
