There is a flag sensor on door that has been either broken off or bent put a paper clip in sensor if message goes away then find broken piece and super glue it on or tape paper clip inside door. or u can purchase a new door cover

There are many possibles that can cause "Close Front Cover"
Check the front cover actuator, switch. If all covers, switches is working fine, probably power supply is faulty.

My konica bizhub 163 gives massage 1st side cover open close 1st side cover,how do i clear the massage. pliz help me.

1st Side cover is front cover.The cover which you use to open to install or check toner bottle.When you close that cover and machine gives caution then it means cover is not properly closed

The 1st side cover switch is not working properly.
There is a knob at the end of the front cover, make sure it it aligned with the switch.
Front cover Micro Switch can be dirty due to toner spilling/dropping inside the machine.Clean it and then recheck.

Its showing "close ink cover"

Hi there!
The message "Close Ink Cover" means that the cartridge door is not closed securely.
-please open the ink cartridge cover and make sure all cartridges are installed correctly and then close the cartridge cover. That should clear the message on the screen.

Close printer cover error when cover is closed

The cover sensor might have dislodged or not in its proper position. You could try to reset your printer to determine if there's a hardware fault. Remove the cartridges from your printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source. When the printer turns on completely, reinsert your cartridges. Check if error appears again. (Error: 'Cover open, please close the cover')

Just bought MX870 and put power on and it says "The feeder cover is ope Close cover and press ok." I closed every cover and pressed ok but still shows that error.

The two covers on top are just not aligned properly. Open both top covers (one opens to the right one to the left). Close the cover that opens toward the right 1st (you should hear it click into place) then close the second cover. Press "ok" should be good to go.

My Brother 560 says top cover open when the cover appears closed.

Make sure the covers are completely closed. Open each section an close it making sure it closes with a click. Also check for covers under other covers.

--close cover ---means the lower base of the printer is open the cover you open when to remove or insert the cartridges.that is not related to copy or scan cover which is above that.just close the lower covwer little bit tightly.apply gentle force or push to make it close properly.
do it carefully.

Close top cover

Start by trying this.
Open the cover and look around for openings in the where the cover closes. In those openings there are interlock switches. 1 of 2 things have happened.
1, The switch may have become dislodged.
2. Look on the cover you have opened for actuators, ( pieces of plastic sticking out) that would go into those holes to turn the switch on when closed. Those often break off.
One of those 2 items is your problem, The switch is just not being actuated properly.
Make sure nothing is binding the cover also.
