Dvd jam my dvd player is jammed and it does not allow me to eject the dvd. the dvd is inside and after I hit eject it keeps the dvd inside and starts loading again after a few second. I have tried shuting off and on. I also pluged it out and let a few days pass but it did not work. it is also impossible to force it out by hand.

My DVD has been stuck inside for 2 years. There is no pinhole. There is no way to remove it that anyone has suggested. I've tried unplugging, hitting multiple remote button combinations. It's dead and it won't come out.

Using a small needle their should be a hole in the front. This is the safety eject hole that will open the drive 99% of the time. Replacing the drive is just as easy. remove the few screws on the bottom of the laptop nearest the drive and grasp ahold of the bay and slide it away from the computer....hope this helped some....

OOPPSSS this was for a laptop...sorry....but you may have to take the dvd player apart to manually open the drive....a few screws on the bottom that have arrows pointing toward them and please be careful, their is a ribbon cable attached to the front that is very delicate. Hopefully you will be able to manually slide the rail open once it is exposed and as always do this with the unit un plugged.

Now if this is stated to be a combo tv/dvd ignore the screw removal and they should be on the back of the set , about 4, one in each corner. Hope this helped a little. i had to to the same thing on one that did not have a eject safety hole in the front....

    take care

How do I open the player to remove a DVD?

take a look at the bottom of the unit under where the dvd deck is. If the is a slot cut in the bottom of the cabinet, then there should be a lever in there that you can push to the side to release the drawer.

Sony Ns575p wont eject DVD

Someone is going to have to open the unit to look to see if mechanism is jammed or out of alignment or if the disc is not in the proper position---either mechanism or a jam is most common here.

Why can't we get the dvd to eject?

Possibility 1 -
The laser light inside the DVD player is most probably no longer aligned and cannot read the beginning of the disk. Therefore it keep on trying to find the first line but it can't.
Possibilty 2 -
Your husband entered a pirated copy and sometimes the first few tracks are unreadable due to the lower quality of DVD-R used and it jams the laser light inside the DVD player.
What needs to be done is to unplug the DVD from its source and gently pull open the DVD drawer in order to remove the stuck disc inside. Once that is done, power up the unit and press on the "eject" bottom so that the drawer can close itself.
Good luck.

My Sony DVP CX860 DVD/CD player is jammed

You can unscrew the top panel. (Two screws on either side, three along the top in the back.) That will allow you access into the unit.

Inside the unit the lense and spindle are encased inside a shell in the center. If there is a disc jammed in there it will require some effort to get it out without damaging your machine. Be sure that it is unplugged to avoid a shock and I would simply attempt to fish it out through the front or back slot.

There's also the possibility that if you unplug it and replug it, the machine will eject the disc if you loosen it up or get it back on track.

Watching dvd, it began to skip, tried fast forwarding, then took dvd out and wiped it ,put back in and now won't eject won't open or closeCan't get dvd out

try unplugging the power for 30 seconds and plug it back in and power up then hit eject, if that does not go to the players manufacturers website and search for how to reset (your model #) dvd player in the troubleshooting section, each player is "hard reset" differently, most of the time doing a hard reset will allow you to eject a disc that is not jammed, hope this helps.

Dvd player not working

the disc may be jammed. try using a paper clip straightened a bit and insert into the little hole in the front of the dvd door. that should release the dvd drawer. if the drawer can not be pulled out because of a disc jam, you can try to close the drawer again and gently shake the dvd player side to side, front to back to jostle the disc back into the tray/drawer. then try the eject button again. failing that, you can try to remove the outer case and that ought to give you access to the disc, and allow you to see where it is relative to the tray.
try that and let me know how you are progressing with this problem
good luck
