Using a small needle their should be a hole in the front. This is the safety eject hole that will open the drive 99% of the time. Replacing the drive is just as easy. remove the few screws on the bottom of the laptop nearest the drive and grasp ahold of the bay and slide it away from the computer....hope this helped some....

OOPPSSS this was for a laptop...sorry....but you may have to take the dvd player apart to manually open the drive....a few screws on the bottom that have arrows pointing toward them and please be careful, their is a ribbon cable attached to the front that is very delicate. Hopefully you will be able to manually slide the rail open once it is exposed and as always do this with the unit un plugged.
Now if this is stated to be a combo tv/dvd ignore the screw removal and they should be on the back of the set , about 4, one in each corner. Hope this helped a little. i had to to the same thing on one that did not have a eject safety hole in the front....
take care

My DVD has been stuck inside for 2 years. There is no pinhole. There is no way to remove it that anyone has suggested. I've tried unplugging, hitting multiple remote button combinations. It's dead and it won't come out.
