All speakers should work. Check in the control panel for your sounds & volume settings. If your speakers need a power supply, you'll have to plug that in too.

M20 polk speakers only tweeter works

Try playing something heavy in low-end or bass frequencies. If it still doesn't work at all, you can either open them up and try to resolder the woofer back to the circuit, or you can purchase new ones or try your luck with warranty claim.

I have polk audio speakers that came with my old hp f50. I just purchased a new hp but can't get my speakers to work

The old speakers are not compatible. Your new computer is looking for an external power source for the speakers, the older polk speakers that came with Hp computers have none.

Polk computer speakers work in laptop but not on desktop computer

desktops now a days have more than one plug for the speakers. try playing some music and play which hole works.

if there is a 5.1 or surround on the desktop then most likely the light green jack isnt stereo out but rather unamplified signal. thus when you plug head phones into it the internal amp drives the headphones, but wants the computer to drive the speakers.

try plugging it into the black one... or play pick a hole till it works.

Polk speakers with Windows Vista don't work

I doubt the speakers need a driver. Is there output from the soundcard? Connect the speakers to an alternate audio source, such as the headphone jack of a CD player or radio. If the
speakers produce sound, the problem is probably
with your soundcard. Recheck your soundcard
installation and setup procedure. Consult the sound
card’s manual. Check the “mute” and “volume” controls on your
soundcard or media player software and keyboard.
Are the speakers connected properly? Make sure the
plugs are securely connected in the proper location
according to their colorcoding and the diagram on th
front of this manual. Make sure the left speaker wire
with the white stripe is connected to the (+) speaker
terminal on the subwoofer.
