I intend to install the Robert Yick Wok Range in my solid oak butcher block kitchen work table. I have plenty of space but I am concerned that as it will get very hot it might not be a good idea for it to be surrounded by wood. Thanks for your ideas.

The wok model is approved for zero clearance installation by the AGA and CGA. That means that regardless of worktop etc material, it can be right next to the unit, so long as you do not modify the casing of the unit in any way.
here's the link to contact the AGA if you want more info;

The other thing to try if you want reassurance would be to knock up a simulated worktop out of cheap wood/plywood just to represent the bit near the range, and use it carefully for a couple of days just to see if there is any problem.
It should be fine.
Hope this helps :)

Typically MURIATIC ACID is very useful in cleaning stains from masonary and should work to clean a sudo-masonary stain off of glass. MURIATIC acid is normallly in stock at just about all hardware/big box home improvement stores
Chip it off with a single edge razor blade ... I suggest you get the holder for this blade at your ACE or other fine hardware store in your area. Spend about $4.00 to prevent injury.
un plug the range and after 5 min plug back in . the oven should be off but the oven may still be locked . you can open it with a thin hanger .. the clock can bee replaced and back panel if needed . will need model # to help you with parts & prices ..****
