Bottom sprayer arm doesnt move - have taken it out and cleaned it - water pressure is fine but for some reason not strong enough to turn the sprayer arm - I am not sure if some component has fallen out of it - is there anywhere that I could see a diagram of what the actual sprayer arm and its components should look like!!!!!!!! Thank you

My Maytag (which has worked perfectly for the last 2.5 years) has gotten to where the top arm puts little to no water out, and does not spin.  The bottom one spins a little, but not like it did before.

I know it is filling with water, because the lines get warm while the water is going in, then after a little while, water is discharged back into the sink.  I can hear the motor running during the cycles, but the water is just not shooting out of the arms the way it is supposed to.

Check to see in you have enough water in tank. The dishwasher fills then recirculates this water under pressure. If you have water in tank, listen to see if motor is running or not. If it is, you may have clogged jet holes in the wash arms.

Do you have multiple sprayers or only sprayer for water on the lowest level? If this is the case (only lowest level sprayers), look at how you're loading the bottom rack. If you are putting items that would stop the sprayers, like mixing bowls or casserole pans, that would be stopping the sprayers from hitting the top tier item.

Not cleaning leaving residue - top sprayer doesn't spin

check spray arm for food residue build-up,if its clean then it may be the water feed conduit from the bottom tub up to the arm on top that leaking by and losing water pressure

The top two water water arms do not spin

These spray arm will only get water several times in the wash and rinse cycle. They do not turn at the same time the lower (bottom large spray arm under the bottom rack).
There is a chamber that diverts water either to the bottom sprayer or to the top sprayers, not to both at the same time.
If your top spray arms never get water, then there must be an issue with that chamber motor to divert the water. A new sump assembly that has all the new parts.
Good luck.

Bottom sray spinner doesn't spin. Computer and

Make sure that the spray bar when lifted by the water pressure is NOT hitting the dish rack OR has excessive friction. Test by manually lifting and turning.

Also the jets must exit at an angle to provide the torque.

It is filling and running but the water is not

Could be two different things -- either the pump is not moving water through the sprayer arm, or the sprayer arm isn't free to spin around.
I've fixed one of each in the past year, so either is reasonable.

First, check the easy one -- the sprayer arm.
Open the dishwasher and pull the bottom tray forward so you can reach the sprayer arm.
Reach in and try to spin it around by hand. It should move freely, and if you flick it around, it should spin a full turn around before stopping.
If it's unable to move at all, then look for something stuck like a fork or plastic bag.
If it moves, but very quickly stops spinning, it might be a foreign object or it might need a new sprayer arm assembly. The one I got this year was $38 including shipping.

If the sprayer arm is free and easy to move, then check the water pump:
Start the dishwasher and listen. When it's done filling and sounds like the wash cycle, quickly unlock and open the door.
It shouldn't spray water in your face, but there should be lots of water dripping from the racks and the top (and the dishes, if it's loaded when you do this test!)

If not, then the problem is either a failed main pump or a blocked pump, and the repair will be a bit more money and a lot more time.

If this helps, be sure to click the thumbs-up to tell me so!

Top sprayer wont spin . dishwasher goes through cycles and only partially cleans. bottom sprayer does spin.

The sprayers are not powered but rely on the water pressure to spin them. If it's not spinning it could be
the spinner isn't engaging in the top rack as you slide it in
blocked jets on the spray arm
blocked feedpipe to the spray arm
faulty pump

Most dishwashers are fairly easy to dismantle to check the first few

Not enough water pressure to move upper arms or clean dishes

Recommend you pull the bottom spray arm straight up, then out of the DW.
Remove 9 phillips screws that hold the filter shroud down. Remove the filter and clean/rinse it out.
While the filter it out, grab a flashlight and inspect all over the sump area. Especilly in the area the has the check valve that rotates (Vario motor-driven) to feed the water pressure either to the lower and then the upper arms. Watch out for broken glass! Also, inspect the impeller to see if it is undamaged and spins easily.
Reassemble, then test out.
If problems remain, the the wash pump motor is probably the culprit. Do you get any error messages on the time display?
Good Luck!
