Duck tape isn't even good enough for ducts. In fact, don't use duct tape. Electrical tape is a type of pressure-sensitive tape used to insulate electrical wires and other materials that conduct electricity. It can be made of many plastics, but vinyl is most popular, as it stretches well and gives an effective and long lasting insulation. You may get good quality of electrical fish tape from electricalfishtape(dot)com.

It's not the same thing. Electrical tape is good because it isn't conductive at all. You definitely do not want to use duct tape near open electricity because of the metal in it.

How to connect the exhaust hose to the exhaust pipe

Aluminium tape, not plastic duct tape.
Corrugated rigid aluminium ducting, don't use the foil stuff, its not suitable.
Clean duct and machine about every 500 cycles, ie if 2 a day then every 250 days. (adjust to actual linting)

What makes duct tape stronger than scotch tape?

Duct tape is much stronger than scotch tape for a few reasons. The first being that it is generally wider than a roll of scotch. Also, duct tape is made using cloth and is even coated in polyethylene.

Duet dryer wont start beeps and sensing lights up!

Its likely your thermal fuse is out.

Disconnect the power! Remove the lint filter screen. Remove the two screws from the bottom flange of the toe panel. Pull the toe panel out at the bottom, pull down, and remove the panel. Remove the screw from the lint duct bracket and remove the bracket. Remove the two screws from the lint duct and remove the duct.

Then you will see the white thermal fuse on your blower wheel housing. You can jump it with an alligator clip or take the wires off the thermal fuse and use electrical tape to tape them together to see if it comes on. DON'T LEAVE IT JUMPED TO RUN A CYCLE, order a new one.
Here is a the part.

Melted hole in freezer door

It shouldn't alter the performance, but I would suggest covering it with something better than electrical tape. Either a fiberglass repair kit or duct tape.

I have a tear in the top of my hose. Right by the handle is there a way to shorten the hose a few inches at the top to repair the hole?

You'd be better off using duct tape on it. Ensure the wiring is intact first, then wrap a couple wraps of electrical tape around the hose, then 2-3 of duct tape. May not be pretty, but safer than cutting the hose and wiring just right to get everything safely connected.

I have a Lennox heating and air system. It's 5 years old. The tape that hold those long tube things together has failed and the tubes are disconnected from the vents that blow air into the house. I have...

Sounds like a lousy job. Best tape is alluminum. You can pick it up at Home Depot or Lowes. If the tubes are flex duct be sure to pull back the outer insulation and tape just the inner lining

I have a Olevia 232 S12 and love it except for the blue light that stays on all night in our bedroom. Very bright light for some reason. Any fix?

This doesn't do anything for the wasted energy (which is probably small, but still a waste). I have the same problem, but a couple of layers of black electrical tape or duct tape can solve it. If you use duct tape, make sure there are no small strings / threads when you put it on, or just cut them off very close. Electrical tape won't give you that problem. If you prefer to still see the light, use only 1 or 2 layers, if you want it totally gone all the time, use 3-4. You might just have to "guess and check".

Brother mfc215c cartridge problem

OK. This might do it. Sounds crazy but bare with me. Try this with the black cartridge or which ever one you replaced most recently. Do you have some black electrical tape? If not some duct or scotch tape will do but electrical tape works best. Remove the cartridge and place black electrical tape over the entire indented end of the cartridge . As you face the front of the printer, the end of the cartridges I'm referring to will be on your far right.Cut a piece of tape, stick it in the center ridge of the cartridge and then press it into the grooves with a pair of small scissors or whatever's handy. It fits tightly into the printer, but it does fit. It works! If you use duct tape cut it in half so it's about the same width as electrical tape. If all you have is scotch tape, follow the procedure but you'll probably have to put 4 or 5 pieces on. The reason being is that it's clear and there's a small sensor on your printer that's probably not doing it's job right. Like I said, start with your most recently refilled ( I think you said you refilled them ) cartridge. If that doesn't work - keep going with the other cartridges. After this works ( :) ) , Please rate me a big 4 fix ya - I earned. I'll be anxiously waiting to hear from you as to what happens. As always, I'm here. Let me know.
