Smoking Oven I have an Amana Gas stove - 11 years old - ARG7301WW Serial #9704178428. Recently whenever I cook something at 400 degrees or higher, smoke pours out of the stove from inbetween the liner. Even when I remove the food from the stove and shut it off, smoke continues to pour out for at least 15 minutes. Is it still safe to use, is it repairable, or do I have to buy a new stove? I saw that other models were recalled for a similar problem - is this model under recall as well?

I have a an AMANA gas stove burners work but oven doesn't

First check the book to see if you have a igniter on this stove if so it takes a moment or two to get started, if not you need to light pilot
make sure gas is getting to burner when called for by the thermostat or oven control..

Oven cooks at 400 plus degrees when set at 350 degrees

If your problem is temperature do this;
Press "options" Then press "6". Then press "3" to increase or "6" to decrease temp.
Then press "start" to end the calibration.

If you recently used self-cleaning you could have a thermal overload fuse problem.

Gas oven that cooks unevenly

clean your orifaces.

Also make sure that it's the correct stove for your gas type. If you're using a NG stove on Propane, you're wrong. It's making a lot of soot, and could potentially blow up your house. Stop using it until you're sure.

Old Amana - no manual; can't operate self clean feature

Can you locate the model number on the oven? Also any particular name of the stove? The manufactured year. These should all be available on a stainless steel or aluminum attached plate , probably on the back of the stove or inside the door.
I wouldn't try using the self cleaning feature until we get some advice. it could lock up on you and not UNLOCK. Normally self cleaning takes place at 600 or more degrees .

I'm sure others still have the same stove., I will see what I can find for you.

Amana gas range bake burner does not heat

Pull the bottom of the oven off. You will see 2 to 4 screws that hold the panel on. The ignitor is under there. Look at the ignitor carefully for breaks. I say carefully as the ignitor is very easy to break.

Amana Convection oven not controlling temp

I have just checked the baking guide in the manual and have found that it may not be us after all. (Maybe this is why they telll us to read the whole manual. Well, I never have) According to the cooking time for Baking, the range is very extensive. For example, an angel cake at 350 could take from 28-50 minutes, buscuits at 375-400 could take 8-16 minutes, layer cakes at 350-375 could take 25-40 minutes, pound cakes at 325-350 could take 45-70 minutes and fresh pies at 400-450 could take 35-60 minutes. Basically, the baking directions on the box means absolutely nothing to use Amana oven owners. We have no choice but to cook our food or baked goods until they are cooked, whenever that may be. :) Linda

Oven smoking

I am pretty sure this is just the steam escaping. Smeg ovens seal so evenly that the steam stays in the oven.
