I wouldn't trust it after one week, especially because ground meat spoils faster than other forms

I have wasted quit a bit of the bags because the food saver is not sealing completely. It leaves a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch unsealed therefore I can not vacuum seal. What am I doing wrong

Try making a seal with nothing liquid in bag, check seal on bag after. If seal looks good it could just be liquid getting on seal area causing it not to seal. There are tips online on how to help prevent this (example: placing rolled up paper towel sheet). If seal still looks bad than you may have a bad spot on the heat seal wire.

When I use my Powerglide Pet bagged vacuum cleaner, the debris does not go into the bag but on top of it. What should I do?

Usually there is a "seal" to make sure the dirt goes into the filter.
I guess the air flow is bypassing the seal somehow. Is the seal clean, is it in good condition?
Are you sure you have the right bag?

Can i defrost a piece of beef cook it slice it then refreeze it

Yes you can. If it is roast beef you might want to freeze it in beef gravy. Make sure it is sealed real good and use freezer plastic bags or if you have a food sealing device to vaccumm seal it. Deep Freeze meats cooked or uncooked last longer in a Deep Freezer as well!

Yes, that would be okay. I do that all the time with my meat.

Make sure there is no obstruction anywhere along the hose. Also properly clean the filter and collection bag. This may have become blocked due to the fine ash, sort of sealing the bag.

When vacuuming out air, the liquid is vacuumed, inside of the bag where it seals is wet, and it won't seal.

Try placing a folded paper towel in the bag between the item and the area of the seal
The towel will absorb the liquid allowing the bag to seal but keeping the liquid in the bag

I have a canister vacuum. I replaced the bag and now can otn get a good suction. Could it be the rubber seal near the bag?

The case that encloses the bag may not have been closed properly, or a part of the bag got caught in the seal of the case. Take the bag out and reinstall. Hope this helps!

Seal-a-meal won't seal

Take apart and see if wires are connected That is what was wrong w/ mine. Soldered wire now works fine.
