Wcvh6800j1ww leaking under soap dispenser

Three screws at the back of cover, three screws at the front, push the cover back and you can remove it. 1 screw at the front of the soap drawer and two more on the dispenser and you can lift the whole unit up.

Can you use granular soap and where to apply it? we have a frigidaire washer with a drawer to put liquid soap in.

On our washer there is a little slider in that drawer that allows the opening into the washer to open wider for solid laundry soap. Maybe that's the case in yours. If not then you might be confined to using HE liquid soap.

The powder will not dispense. Water is getting in because the powder is wet and clumpy but is still left in the dispenser.

I suggest you remove the soap dispenser drawer and thoroughly clean it, ensuring that the outlet at the back of the drawer where the water and soap feed into the machine are completely clear of any soap buildup.

Before you replace the drawer, ensure that the water feed into the drawer (this is a pipe or tube above the drawer slot) is not clogged with soap.

Cant open soap drawer on washer

I opened up the top of the washer by unscrewing the screw in the back. then I pressed down hard on the white plastic cover of the soap dispenser that you will see on the front left hand side of the machine. I also moved it slightly to the right by pushing on the side of the same unit.

The soap dispenser then opened up fine. I cleaned out the soap dispenser from any crud that developed in it. Now it opens and closes nicely.

Did you know there is a class action lawsuit against LG for mold that develops inside of this model washer? I joined in the lawsuit. There should be no mold accumulating in any washer.

Soap dispenser not working

It sounds like the water valve has a clogged filter.  Shut the cold water to the washer off, disconnect the hose and remove the filter screen in the washer water valve.  Clean out the filter with toothbrush.  Reinstall and everything should be ok.

Opening the top of front load LG washer

to get your lid of the washer there are 2/3 screws at the back right under the lip of the lid once you have taken the lid of u will see the top of the soap drawer u can sometimes get into these by undoing the clips on either side of the soap drawer if u cant do it that way only other way is to make sure your soap drawer is closed properly and hit it hard at the front it should dislodge more than likely your conditioner drawer
