LG WM2277H - OE error

I keep getting the OE error even after draining, cleaning the filter and even resetting the machine. Is there anyway of getting the front of and looking to see if there's an internal clog or checking the pump?

My drain discharge has to go a "sump pump" that pumps the discharge where it needs to go. My problem is that the discharge clogged up the sump pump with lint and "gunk" according to the plumber who unclogged the sump pump. In less than a year, the pump is clogged again. In that time I've periodically checked and cleaned the drain pump filter but it has hardly needed any cleaning at all. Is there something besides the drain pump filter that should prevent lint and "gunk" from clogging up my sump pump?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

OE is a drain error and is displayed when the washer is unable to drain water. Please check the drain hose and drain pump filter for any clogs to clean the error. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

"OE" error. Filter cleaned but makes terrible

You still have something caught in the drain line on the machine. Check the filter again and the lines coming from the tub to the pump, and from the pump to the waste line. Here is a link to LG's document on the "OE" error.

How do i clean the drain screen? and where is it? It won't drain and has a OE flashing.

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

Gives message...oe

On pg 18 of the service manual for this combo, front-load LG washer/dryer, it basically says if the drain's not working and you see an OE error code, clean the drain pump filter and retry. So first do that.

MY LG WASHER WONT DRAIN, IT SAYS THE ERROR MESSAGE

OE is a drain error - Check there isn't a kink in your drain hose, ensure the filter is clean, the drain hose can become clogged with sludge, sometimes a hot wash with 1/2 a cup of vinegar will remove this sludge
