Cannot turn the lid on to kitchenaid food processor

I can no longer turn the lid onto my food processor. The food cup is securely locked in, but when I try to turn the lid on to lock the lid in place, it will not go on. I know that there is a small plastic part in the handle that must go down into the base and am thinking that is the problem. When the food cup is off, I cannot push the white button down either.

It sounds like you need a new working bowl. It is not uncommon for that safety switch mechanism to fail inside the handle.

Kitchen aide chefs chopper Model KFC3100ER2 does not always turn on when pulse button is pressed

You need to replace either the bowl or the lid. Either the lid is not pushing the bowl mechanisms far enough or there is too much lost movement in the bowl part.

Need a replacement lid for KFP350 Kitchen aid food processor(#4176396). Any available? Any lids that are compatible with this machine (5 cup)?

My KFP350"s "driver stem" just broke so I may not be needing any of my other parts. If you are interested in any remaining parts (all still working perfectly and the mini bowl has never been used) then please contact me!

My kitchenaid processor is not working

The Kitchenaid food processors have a few safety features implimented. If the unit is not assembled properly, this may prevent the unit from turning on. I am thinking this is an issue of assembly because the light is on, so the unit is definitely getting power.

Proper assembly is below:

If it isn't all ready, please disassemble the entire unit. This means removing the blade and/or disc, blade, removing work bowl, work bowl lid, and blade.

Start by placing the work bowl onto the motor base. The work bowl handle should be facing at 9 o'clock, which is out to your left. Rotate the handle downward until it locks in at the 6 o'clock position, which will lock over the center of the button panel.

Repeat the process with the work bowl lid. The blade does not need to be present for the motor to engage, if this is an assembly issue.

KitchenAid Food Processor 770 won't run

I am assuming the unit is getting power. The "power" LED should be lit up on the front of the unit.

The Kitchenaid food processors have a few safety features implimented. If the unit is not assembled properly, this may prevent the unit from turning on.

If this has not resolve the issue, please ensure the outlet is receiving power.

If the unit is still not functioning, take a close look at the bottom of the work bowl where it meets to the motor base. The work bowl, when locked in, depressed a gray plastic peg. This is the safety mechanism. You may trying depressing this peg on your own with a pencil. If this activates the motor, this may indicate your work bowl is no longer seating correctly.

Also check the work bowl handle to make sure nothing is cracked. There is a plastic assembly in the handle that acts as a second safety feature.

If either of these things seems to be the culprit, I would suggest seeking a new work bowl or work bowl lid to correct the issue.

I have a kitchenaid food processor and the bowl is tightly set on the right side of center. I can't straighten it out and when I try to move it, it sounds like I'm cracking plastic. It won't run! Any...

Items required:
-dishwasher
-detergent
-lemonade or other citric liquid
-poochy
-skillz

Step 1:
gently position poochy around tube in center of bowl. Fill halfway with lemonade or other citric liquid.

Step 2: Put lid of processor on and put entire unit in dishwasher. Turn on power scrub cycle.
The dishwashing cycle will help the citric acid to activate the poochy.

Step 3: Use skillz to wriggle the bowl off the processor. Empty out poochy remains.
Congratulations! YOU'VE GOT SKILLZ!

Kenmore Food Processor Model 69703 Won't turn on

I had a hard time with this too.....you just have to be sure the bowl is locked in right to the base, and the cover is licked onto the bowl right, if one is not correct, the processor won't turn on, so keep fooling with it, look at the arrows and holes.
