My wirless connection drops about every 10 minutes while using my HP Elitebook 8470p, wirelessly connected to my Apple Extreme Router, while using my Cisco AnyConnect VPN client. I do not experiance any connection issues conected via wired LAN.

You may want to see if you are able to change the preamble on computer and the router to use short preamble. If you are using Windows you can go to the network connections to check the advance properties of your wireless card. As for the Apple Airport Extreme you will have to contact Apple for information if your router can change the preamble.

solved the problem. Had to set DSL modem to bridge mode and then set the router PPoE, provide ISP name and password information and bingo! works!!

You'll want to enable the VPN transparency. In the router's administrative web interface, click the Security Tab, then the VPN Passthrough sub-tab. Cisco VPN's usually use IPSEC, so enable the IPSEC Pass-through and click "Save Settings". If this doesn't work enable the PPTP Pass-through as well and give that a shot.

Update your firmware to the latest. I had the same issue and the issue is gone after the upgrade.

have you reset the airport extreme? theres a tiny hole you can push in w a paperclip. Also, do you have the latest firmware?
