Frigidere PLMV169 I have the exact same problem. My model number is PLMV169DCD. The microwave worked the night before and then in the morning it was completely powerless. I checked the power source and it is fine, but the control panel on the machine has NO power. I can't use any functions.

My plmv169dcd stopped working, looks like it has no power, but there is power at plug in. is there a reset button>

Not quite enough information. But, there is no reset button. Open unit check fuse. test all 3 door switches. They are the number one cause of problems and can take out the fuse or not. Other than that it will take more trouble shooting to find the problem

Where is the fuse on my microwave Electrolux PLMV169DCD located?

We have three service manuals covering the PLMV169 series, which you can download free:

http://www.microwavedisplay.com/plmv169dcc_sm.pdf
http://www.microwavedisplay.com/glmv169_plmv169_sm.pdf
http://www.microwavedisplay.com/glmv169_plmv169_late_prod_sm.pdf

They're all pretty similar.

You can usually find parts from the Pros here.

If not, contact Electrolux at the phone number on the front of the service manual.

It may be the C/T fuse (thermal fuse located above the magnetron) or the oven cavity thermal cutout, located on the top of the cavity.

Accessing these two parts for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download Electrolux / Frigidaire owner's manuals and installation instructions
here.

It may also be that there was a power surge which damaged the control circuit board, activating the built-in surge protection.

This is not resettable. The circuit board has to be repaired. We do that for $39.95, details here.

Plmv169dcd handle fell OFF

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

If you need more help with disassembly, we have similar service manuals and have uploaded them to our site here, here, and here to help you.

You will need the free Acrobat Reader to view or print them in case you don't have it already.

Frigidere PLMV169DCD

You most likely had a power surge and blew a fuse. First unplug the unit, then remove the top grill. There will either be one screw on top of the control pad or 2 on the left side. open the control panel and look for a fuse that has a ceramic center and replace it with a 20 amp one. You can find these at the hardware store

Microwave plmv169dcd

You may be right.

The hood fan should always be on whenever you're cooking on the stovetop.

If it does not dry out over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.

Replacing the keypad is generally not too hard do-it-yourself job.

If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
