I have a ps3 and a cable modem connected to a computer which works fine. The modem has an ethernet port so I ran an ethernet cable directly from the modem to the ps3. I still cant get the ps3 to connect???
I can't be certain, but does your ISP rewuire the hardware connecting to it to have a certain MAC address (i.e. the one used to first 'activate' the Internet connection)? If so you may need to 'clone' the MAC address to get online either by a router or some other method.
