F08: Wash Heater Relay Stuck (signalled in presence of empty) or pressure switch stuck on Full (simultaneously empty and full)
- Check efficiency of J3 connector contacts on card
- Check pressure switch status by checking ohmic continuity on wiring connector J3 pins 2 and 4 (it must only be present with
tub empty), pins 2 and 3 (it must only be present with water in the drum) and pins 2 and 1 (it must only be present with water in the tub above normal level, more than halfway up door glass).
- Check wiring J3/pressure switch
- Check connection of heating element J3 connector pins 5 and 6.
- Replace pressure switch
- Replace Card

I am presuming someone has told you that the brushes need changing?
Those will be the motor brushes then ;-0)

My comment:
It can sometimes be false economy to just have the brushes changed although financially very attractive. Experience of others is that the brushes may only last months unless, that is, the motor is totally refurbished at the same time. It depends on how old the motor is and how much wear the commutator has had.
The problem is that motors are expensive because they are such well made and hard worked pieces- our 19+ year-old Bosch motor (and belt at the same time of course) cost GBP 250 but will probably outlast us!

Indesit washing machine lights come on briefly when awitched on at mains and then no power

Error code F04 indicates pressure switch jammed on empty.
to rectify, do the following
Remove lower rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose on drum
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.

Error code F08 means that the heaterrrelay cannot be activated.
Check the connections to the Pressure switch, the Module,and the Heater element.
If you can, test the element of the heater to make sure it is o/k.

If all you are getting is a wash cycle and not a spinning cycle this could indicate a faulty door switch. the machine will not allow a spin cycle unless the door is locked.

The code F03 means the wash thermistor is open circuit.

Unfortunately, you will have to call an engineer.

I had the same problem with DENO, while we run the wash machine i press start button and step easier(try the start button and click buttons simultaneously until the code DOF) button until DOF code came, after everything went well. [email protected]

Hi - had a similar problem with about 3 different makes of washing machine - the RCD switch on the main household fuse box was continually tripping . Nobody could give me a right answer . Eventually ended up with a Hotpoint . Felt sorry for the delivery guys from the electrical retailers having to keep dragging machines in and out .
