Dear all, I operated tv remote usually and working properly for 4 monthS. but now I got some problem in my tv. there is no response for my remote key and in tv screen it shows something like "A1116". Sounds like the infrared sensor inside the TV is faulty. Check and replace it. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

1. Look up your TV's brand in the TV code listing that starts on page 12.
2. Circle the first 4-digit number displayed for your brand of TV.
3. Turn on your TV.
4. Press and hold the TV key.
5. While holding down the TV key, press the OK key.
6. Release both keys. The Device Keys will blink twice.
7. Enter the 4-digit TV code you circled. The TV key will blink
three times.
8. To test to see if this was the correct code, point the remote at your
TV and press Power. If the TV turns off, you have successfully
programmed your remote.
9. If the TV does not turn off, repeat all the steps using the next code in
the list.
10. For future reference, write down the code that worked, in case you
must reprogram your remote.
NOTE: If some of the keys on the remote do not operate your TV as you

If none of the codes worked, try the following procedure. (As before, we will
use the example of a TV. For other devices, use the appropriate Device Key
instead of the TV key, in steps 2 and 3.)

The Proscan is an RCA product so the codes are:

10047, 10466, 11347, 11447, 10018, 10019, 10038, 10047, 1090, 1135, 10679, 11047, 11147, 11247, 11347, 11447, 11547

1. Turn on the TV
2. Locate the 5-digit code for your component.
3. Slide the MODE switch to the TV position.
4. Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT keys at the same time until the green light under TV flashes twice, then release both keys.
5. Using the NUMBER keys, enter the 5-digit code for the brand of TV being set up. If performed correctly, the green light under the selected position lashes twice.
6. Aim the remote at your component and press the PWR key once. The component should turn off; if it does not, repeat steps 3 and 4, trying each code for your brand until you find the correct code.

If you are connected to any kind of box (satellite for example), there is only one channel that the TV sees; usually 3 or 4.

The channel changes are limited to the box.

Press 1 after 9-9-1. The "1" code is the TV code.

Take the remote to your local Radio Shack and have it tested.. They used to carry IR cards and now have a pen-like tester that can tell if the remote is operating properly. Then, if you're sure the code is correct, you probably will have to have the IR detector in the Tv replaced...
