My washing machine does not agitate after filling up with water

My washing machine fills all the way up with water and then just spins draining the water out. It does not agitate

SOURCE: Will not drain or spin

Unless you jarred the machine it's the timer. You can check this by bypassing the lid switch and seeing if it will cycle.

I had the same problem and ended up replacing the control board which solved it.  Contact Westland Sales at 800-356-0766 ext. 5 for tech support.

Please empty your machine and run the machine empty. If the washer goes through the whole cycle without any clothes. Please let me know

sound like the agitator motor went out the way to fix this is to take the agitator out and replace it along with the motor

My washing machine will not spin or drain,only fill up with water
Couple things could be happening;

Scenario 1: Your motor is dead, or the electrical connections leading to it are chewed up and no longer send electricity to the motor. If you have a voltage tester, you should see if you are getting power to it.

Scenario 2: The safety switch that stops the motor from spinning when the lid is open is compromised.. This is possible, but less likely, as the motor would still spin in agitate mode..

I am having the exact same problem with the same brand machine.  I put in a load of clothes to soak till the morning, but in the morning, the washing machine would only fill, spin, and drain.  The agitator would not wash the clothes, so they came out with the soap of course still crusted in.

That is probably a problem with the timer.

The cycle doesn't advanceWhen the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
