I cant get my computer to recognize the mp3, I just want to put music on it.
I have plugged it in and my computer recognizes the usb device but i cant access the mp3 to put files on it. I have tried several drivers and even downloaded the driver on the previous question posted. im just trying to get music on it for a friend, he got it last night and it has only been plugged into my computer. I have FireFox and windows 2000, if that helps.
please help me fast.

If your computer recognizes the device as a valid drive (look in 'my computer' folder for it) then you should be able to reformat it.
Right click on the device in my computer, click format, quick format. set to FAT format if it lets you. run the format, then disconnect the device and power it back on. it should re-boot and then try to connect again.
Try using windows medai player to transfer music. or download Rhapsody and try using that.

I had the same problem, all you have to do is first turn on the Mp3.Then go to settings. Then go down to USB mode. It will probably say, auto detect.But instead scroll down to MSC. If that doesn't work try MTP.
