I JUST BOUGHT A GPS FROM SOMEONE ,HOW DO I CLEAR HIS HOME ADDRESS FROM IT SO I CAN PUT MINE IN

    I bought my nextar and would not charge, so I sent it back as instructed. when I got it back evidently it was a used one because

    the home address is Lusk Ca. I just want to change the home address

    to mine. How? Plus they didn't send my plug in to the wall cord. and

    I haven't been able to get any help on this.

Depending on what kind it is
but mine i tap on where to on the menu and it brings up some selection picture
and i go to my location click on it then it brings up three selection .
at the very bottom it says set home click on thatask 3 question
you click on yes enter my address and you follow the instruction and save it.

Bought a used garmin 350 but cannot enter my address as home..it keeps showing the prview address
YOu can call Garmin to confirm this... but my Garmin has a "Reset" pin hole. If I place a paperclip wire in the hole and hold it for 3 seconds, it clears the memory. Pulling the battery for more than 1 minute will clear everything that is stored in the device (except flash memory).

Go to the Garmin site www.garmin.com and look up the model for guidance. I believe there is a reset button under the plastic cover around the screen the needs to be pushed in. That may do it.

Settings Menu > Welcome Page.
You can then delete the existing info and insert your own. Do not put your address, put your cellphone number - better for security purposes.

The fact that it has your home address in there doesnt really make a difference security wise unless the code breaker wishes to return it. You home is there for anybody to find with or without your home address from your gps. Unless it had some kind of personal info like ssn, credit card number or something like that(and it shouldnt) you shouldnt worry.

Home address
Click 'Where to', select 'My Locations' Select 'favorites' Click 'Home' then select 'EDIT' in the lower right hand corner. Than selet 'DELETE' that should clear the home addy out for you.
