How do I Put Music on an NW-E003F Sony MP3 Player?

The Sony Walkman E003F is a small portable device resembling a flash drive. This Walkman has 1 GB of storage which accommodates about 685 songs. When the battery is at capacity, the Walkman can play back up to 28 hours of audio. The small player has a built-in USB connector to make downloading convenient. If you want to add songs to your MP3 player, you must use Windows Explorer to download MP3-, AAC- and WMA-formatted audio to the device.

Instructions



Remove the USB cap on the player to reveal the USB plug.


Insert the USB plug on the player into the computer's USB port.


Select "My Computer" from the desktop "Start" menu.


Double-click on the "WALKMAN" drive folder to open it.


Double-click to open the "MUSIC" folder.


Drag the audio file from the save location on the computer and drop it in the "MUSIC" folder. The songs will load and play in the order that they are dropped into the folder.

Possible reason could be frequent use would have damaged the port connectivity, If there is another usb port use them or else you can clean them to se it this works. if not try to fix a USB extender which can be procured from any PC harware shop that might sometimes give a good connection , thre after do not remove this connector but use the extender port.Check to also see if your USB drivers can be reinstalled, check though the device manager/ ports. Unfortunatley, there isn't an easy way to fix something that is physically broken. Your only options are:

1) Replace the motherboard of the laptop. (would need to be done by a professional, and may cost as much as a new laptop depending on the model)

2) Learn to deal with it. :)

press F8 when your system is being rebootet,and make sure your usb controller is 2.0.

you must use the program sonicstage.
thats the only way. you can find it in the cd that comes with the device , i guess you can find it in google too.

take to sony store. They replace it for a small fee

i have a sony nw e305 , same problem no detection and no charging even after it shows tht the battery is charging.. and the walman shows charge error at times...

well did you push the it all the way in the USB Port? Sometiems I don't connect it all the way and it doesn't charge. I go to my school and charge it on there computers too and it charges fine.

Another advice is to actually use the Sonicstage to avoid viruses. It's not that hard to install or download music files.
