My daughter's LG5300 phone suddenly being able to turn on. We have tried a different battery. Still the same. It comes up with the Verizon log and a white background. After awhile it shuts back off. I have tried a few of the posted items, such as taking the battery out and leaving it out for a period of time and still the same. I have tried the freezer idea. It seems to have happened after going through security at the airport. Someone mentioned that these problems can be software related. Could the scanner at the airport have scrambled the software? Is there a way to force the software back to it's original state or reload the software. I have a cable that connects to the phone for ringtone, contacts, calendar transfer so I have the ability to reload if that is possible without it being turned on.
Yes the scanners could have messed up software on the phone. you can have it reinstalled by a process called flashing. Your local accessory store should have someone who can do this for you or at least know where you can find one. If you want to try yourself go to www.humpa.com/vzw/ find your phone and download the software. Then buy a program to flash it on your phone
