If you undo the screws from the underside of the controller and gently part the body just enough to see the back of the button, then spray a very small amount of WD40 or any lubricating liquid around the button and press button gently in and out to lubricate it.

My xbox 360 wired controller's right trigger is always activating without it being pressed

If the potentiometer for the trigger is bad or is not making good contact with the circuit board, say through a poor solder connection, this could be your problem. If the controller isn't getting any signal from the electronic trigger component it sees that as a pressed trigger and becomes grenade happy. This has happened to me.

My xbox 360 controller left bumper trigger wont work. I have opened it but it looks like nothing is wrong and it doesnt wiggle or move at all? please help

The contact point on the left trigger might have failed already due to wear and tear since there are moving parts, and if there are moving parts there is friction thus likely could damage the contact point of trigger whenever being pressed. The might need to be replaced in that case.

Xbox 360 turns on by itself

Your controller has the ability to turn on the Xbox by pressing and holding the guide button. Check to make sure it is not stuck on any of your controllers. The Xbox can also pick up regular remote signals. One of your other remotes (if you have any) may be interfering with it. If your Xbox came with a media remote, make sure none of its buttons are stuck. Also, fluorescent lights (the swirly bulbs and the long, narrow bulbs) can sometimes trigger things. Another thing could be a Wii remote (if you own a Wii). There could be the rare possibility that it or the light bar is causing this problem. Sorry for the long message. I hope this helps!

Video output on wrong setting and cant see screen

for PS3, hold the power button for at least 5 seconds or until you hear a second beep.

for Xbox 360,
Turn the console on.
Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn the console on by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller.
Note Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller is the controller where the upper-left quadrant light is on.
As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time. This causes the Xbox Dashboard to reset the display settings to the default settings and then automatically restarts the console. So it's OK when the Xbox 360 console restarts.
