Re: Problem in selecting cd-R/W drive while Writing VCD...
This is Mrs. Prema karthikeyan
connect your camcorder through usb. open window movie maker.
.....capture from the video divice
....., collect them in collection folder
..drag to storey board.
here you can give video effects, titles of different styles, and narrate in your voice too.
save the project. here you will get the destination. or
you can directly make a cd or dvd.
hope i am clear.
there is another way. if you feel you need pl. do write to me. my id; [email protected]

THERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO MAKE VCD. GO TO MOVIE MAKER. CONNECT HANDYCAM TO PC AND PLAY THE VIDEO. ON MOVIE MAKER START CAPUTURING THE IMAGE. A WORD OF CAUTION. GO TO VIDEO SETTTINGS AND SELECT 640 X 320 RESOLUTION FOR BETTER QUALITY VIDEO OUTPUT AND VIEWING. WORKS GREAT. THE PROBLEM OF NOT ABLE TO DETECT DRIVE POSSIBLY IS DUE TO THE CD/DVDW NOT IN THE LIST OF DRIVES DETECTED BY PICTURE PACKAGE. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED FOR LAST MANY YEARS AND NO DEFINATE SOLUTIONIS FOUND ON THE NET.

convert my video images to "PICTURE PACKAGE software" this is for still photos.
If you want video you need a firewire cable and a fire card for your PC.
WinDV is free program that will help as will the info in the link. John
