What you should try now is to try and power the laptop while it is ONLY on battery power. If that doesn't work, then pull the battery out and try and turn it on while ONLY on outlet power. If it works while only on battery power, you probably have a failed power adapter. If it only works on outlet power, you probably have a failed battery. If neither method gets different results, it's likely to be a failed component on the motherboard.

Digihome 48304 keeps turning off

If it is after a period of time. Then you have auto standby on. Select it and set it to off.
If it turns off almost instantly then you have a fault in the set's power supply.

My laptop keeps turning off the display in 3minutes,and I keep resetting it to 10 min, whats the problem with it not recognizing my settings.

Do you hit "Apply" when changing the settings?

It not enough to say OK.

Check the settings after you have come out of the power setting, by going back in again, before turning off the laptop.

Clock resetting and power button malfunctioning on my Gateway NV53A laptop.

Replace the CMOS battery. In the Control Panel, Power Options, set to High Performance, open Advanced power settings, set Sleep and Hibernate to Never, Adjust other settings to your preference. Set Screen Saver Time. Always turn off the computer and unplug when not in use, it will prolong life and a reboot every day will reset the computer. I would say you have a issue with the outlet connections/plug. If you have a multimeter you can verify.

Display broken

COST WILL ALWAYS JUST FOR THE PART EXCEED THE COST OF A NEW SET. Also if set was on or turned on after that even for an instant other boards in the set may have instantly suffered damage.

My laptop hasee f420s always off after working for about 10 to 20 mins, what is the problem.

Hi

is it the hard drive that is turning itself off because on most laptops the default setting is set to turn off after 20 mins also the display turns off after a short time

if this is your problem you can alter the setting in start control panel power options

hope this is the problem and that you can alter the setting to what you require and please press apply or save settings before you close the power options box down or the settings you alter will not save

good luck

Backlight on Flybook V5

Hi Piergiorgio,

Nothing in the registry or BIOS however, in the Flybook control center, you can manually set your brightness on the system and turn off auto backlight. That way the system will always turn on and your system will always remember the setting of the back light.

Let us know if that helps!

What shld i do if asus laptop is in zzz mode and it wont turn on?

Try this simple solution- press on the power button for a very long time, until the laptop stops working.

After the computer shuts down, turn it on again and look for the sleep settings, sometimes the computer is too eager to turn off the display. You'd be surprised how many computers have troubles waking from their sleep (maybe they need to call the charming prince). Anyhow, check the settings for the computer's sleep. I always ensure that my laptop won't independently fall asleep, always by button.

Screen brightness keeps going down.

its because it has gone into power saving mode, you need to go into the power/battery settings and set the brightness at 100% and then choose that setting as default.

No signal from router after closing laptop

Is it definately the router that's your problem, because most laptops are able to turn off the wireless connection especially when powered by battery alone to conserve power, so check the settings in your laptops wireless adapters properties.
