Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Can't see pictures

I fell down the stairs with the camera in my hands. I think this has caused it to go a bit funny, because i minute before i fell, I successfully took a picture. I have a Panasonic lumix DMC- FX8 and my problem is that when I try to take a normal picture I can't see anything other than a black screen. When I go to playback mode to see what I just captured, all I get is a black screen. Is it possible, that when I dropped the camera, the lens were broken or knocked off and thats why I cant take pictures? If so, does anyone know how to fix it. I bought this camera overseas and therefore have no warranty that I could use in this country. Please help!!!

Just started today. No trauma, but for no obvious reason, I cannot see anything in take picture mode and only faint shadows in display picture mode.

Your relief was short lived. Though the fall did not damage the player itself it appears to have damaged the power supply side of the unit. Perhaps the charging socket got a direct hit and has broken internally. I think you will have to take this to a repair shop as it could need some parts.

I dropped my Nikon D90 (Lens clicking and Battery problem)

No. The warranty does not cover damage caused by dropping it. Maybe you have an insurrance that covers it?

Lens Error.

Try jiggling the lens. Use compressed air to blow out any grit around the lens barrel. If that doesn't do it, you'll need to get the camera serviced.

Blurred images

This is mainly due to the slow shutter speed selected by your CAM. in low light situations the cam chooses a slow shutter speed to expose the image adequately. Any shakes that may have caused during the shutter operation will cause the funny images.

use tripod or other kind of support to your camera while shootiing in low light (indoors) without flash.

My camera

Try resetting the camera. More than likely you are going to have to send it into repairs but try that first.
