SOURCE: Panasonic TH-42PX60U plasma TV: red blinking light

are you using a PC to feed a signal or maybe a cable with an adapter?
I had the same issue when I used one of the rear HDMI ports to show a PC display. Apparently there is a software difference between the rear and side/front ports. Inputting the PC through the side HDMI port has solved the problem for me (so far!)

SOURCE: Panasonic TH-42PD50U RED ON LIGHT BLINKS BUT WON'T STAY ON

Normally, when this happens, the TV goes into " Protection Mode " because of a failing circuit board. Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. The most common thing to go out on flat panel TVs is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptoms.

You have a few choices:

1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself.

2
. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you red light blinking codes, circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.

3. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

SOURCE: TH-42PZ80U Panasonic Plasma, red light flashes 10 times

Panasonic said "A" board,
A board SOS Detect (Explanation)
10 Blinks SOS: The voltage regulators IC5400 and IC5401 in the A board generate SUB9V and SUB5V. The 9V and 5V from these ICs are monitored by IC1100. Any abnormality on the SUB9V or SUB5V lines, triggers the shutdown circuit and the MPU shuts down the unit. The power LED blinks 10 times.

But need to measure the connection SC2, if it short, it will be the SC board.

The knowledge obtain from: Real case of repair by myself.
Information from Panasonic training manual.

Panasonic TH-46PZ850U 46 in, red light is blinking 11 times in a row, tv will not power on.

These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. For more information, check the link http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Plasma tv th-42pd50u not come on and keep blinking red light two times and then stop again blinking red light two times and then stop not come on

The light blinking twice means there is a fault within the system and it is a code to tell Panasonic where roughly the fault lies.
Go to Panasonic's web site and look for your set then input the fault code and hopefully they will tell you where the fault lies.
