Ricoh CL7100 - Toner Cartridge Error

We have replaced the Magenta cartridge twice, and still get an error to replace the Magenta toner cartridge (Cartridges we are using are NOT OEM, they are knock offs) - Any help?

Not one answer for this problem. It could be the tube going from toner cart to developer unit is clogged or kinked. It could be the dev unit. Get a toner vac and remove toner and black cap and spring and using the round hose end create seal and vac the tube. The part that goes into the toner cart has hole on the very end, it might have broke off (look at another color to verify). The worst case is the toner attraction pump has failed. One fix is shake the toner and reinstall.

You say you have checked the toner and there is "enough inside", I don't know how you can check this and the error suggests that the cartridge needs replacing. Have you tried a new cartridge ? This is the first step.
Is the cartridge you get the error with a Ricoh cartridge or a compatible. If compatible this could be the cause of your error.

magenta toner cartridge EEPROM access error, cleaned the connection between the toner cartridge and the machine once cleaned if the issue persists remove the toner cartridge and put back in again if again the error persists replace the toner cartridge with a new one and last resort if the issue is still not fixed then replace the mechanical control board.

Refurbished Magenta cartridge, others okay, receiving 10.0002 supply error. Can I fix this without going to the much more expensive HP toner cartridges?

The error is caused by the small micro chip on the magenta toner cartridge. You may be able to purchase a chip from a toner cartridge remanufacturer but I would return the cartridge to where you bought it and tell them it is faulty and have it replaced.
Otherwise purchase another toner cartridge.

Xerox DC12 Error code 9-355

Error code 9-355 indicates, the magenta toner dispenser is broken and in need of repair.



Open the Front Door

From left to right, the Toner Cartridge colors are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black.


As a pre-caution, place a few sheets of paper on the floor, under the Toner Cartridge area, to catch any toner that may spill.



Remove the Toner Cartridge by rotating the handle to the left until the handle is in the unlocked position.



Pull the cartridge completely out of the machine.

Check for any obvious damage in the cartridge or printer and reinstall. Replace cartridge if damaged.

If error message continues, call a qualified repairman.

Hi, the chip on those toner bottles stores information about how much toner is left, so once that chip registers an empty toner bottle, it won't work even if you attach it to a new toner bottle. You'll need the chip from a new toner bottle, or one that hasn't registered no toner.

I replaced the magenta cartridge with a cartridge from cartridge world. I keep getting an error message that says "10.10.02 supply memory error." What do a i do. I already took all the cartridges out and...

This is usually caused by a third party toner and not an hp toner cartridge. My suggestion would be to see if you can get an oem hp toner cartridge (magenta) and see if the error goes away. If the error goes away then you know its the toner cartridge. This happens because all the manufactures put a chip into the cartridge that make it so you have to kinda use there toner. When third partys manufacture cartridges sometimes there chip they use is not compatible with your printer. Another way to test this would be to put your old one back in. You will still get toner empty but at least the 10.10.02 should go away.

If you've already changed out the toner cartridge and the problem persists, then it could be several other parts that are either defective, dirty or blocked.

You may want to contact a certified Xerox technician and have them look at the Imaging Unit Agitator Bar and the Low Toner Sensors for Cyan/Magenta. There could also be a faulty toner supply motor.

Magenta cartridge empty

When you take the toner cartridge off the imaging unit, is there magenta toner in the open slot of the IU? Assuming that there is nothing wrong with the toner cartridge, you are possibly looking at a bad engine control board.

Both are Sensor errors....You would first check the lock levers that hold the toner cartridges in, if everything is fine with them then you could possible have toner dust on the sensors. First take out the cartridge that you are having problems with, then use a dust off can and carefully clean out any axcess toner that you can see where the toner sits. there is a sensor that looks like a clear plastic or glass eye that reads the cartridges and it sometimes gets dirty.
