My RCA TV will not come on. The power light and the panel lights are lit all the time but I get nothing. The only way that I can turn the power off is to turn off the surge protector or unplug the TV. When I restore power I still have no picture and the lights return as they were.
Usually that is an indication of a bad lamp. A lamp can be ordered and replaced yourself. Use the model number of the television to order the correct lamp.

More than likely you have a power board that is failing. Since the TV is so old I doubt it is under warranty still. I estimate it would cost you anywhere between $300-400 to repair that problem so it may be time to switch to a newer LCD TV.
sounds like you need to replace the color wheel but most of the time that is almost as expensive as the TV itself best bet for this problem would be to bring it to a shop and have it serviced
