Question about LG Televison & Video
I have a HP pro-book 4530, I have tried 3 different hdmi cables thinking the cable was not fast enough or just not good enough. I usually just watch netflix from my laptop to my tv, but a few minutes into an episode the tv will turn black and say no signal, the show will continue playing on my laptop...
Sounds like either the laptop's hdmi output, or the tv's hdmi input is the problem. You can findout wich one by connecting the laptop to another set and see if it still happens. If it goes away then it is your tv input, if it is still there it is the computer.

Adjust the computer resolution to 800-600 and set the lowest bit rate, ie not 32bit. 24bit or 16bit will be fine.
To do this right click on the screen and choose properties, click on settings and you will see the slider bar the resolution and the drop down menu for the bit rate.
The reason you have to do this is because even though its a tv it works on a lower resolution than a computer monitor and is unable to show higher res.

SOURCE: HDMI signal turns on and
If you have more than one HDMI connection, have you tried using a different connection? Also, if you have another T.V. with HDMI, try connecting the device to the other T.V. and see if it works. Right now it could either be your T.V. or your device you're trying to hook up. If the device works on another T.V. then it's the T.V. that's bad, if it doesn't then it's probably the device that is bad.
